UN ने 2 अक्टूबर को अंतरारष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस के रूप में नामित किया : एसआर चौधरी
जिनेवा में भारत के (टीए) और जेनेवा में भारत के महावाणिज्य दूत एसआर चौधरी ने कहा कि भारत के लिए यह बहुत गर्व की बात है कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने 2 अक्टूबर को अंतरारष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस के रूप में नामित करके हमारे राष्ट्रपिता की स्मृति को सम्मानित किया है।

वहीं जिनेवा में संयुक्त राष्ट्र के ऑफिस में मानवाधिकार परिषद के 42वें सत्र के अवसर पर महात्मा गांधी की 150वीं जयंती पर कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया।
